JOB TITLE:

Project Manager - Municipal Roadways

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This individual will be responsible for the entire design process from the proposal through preparation of the plans, specifications and construction administration for roadways and transportation related projects. Responsibilities will include moderate to large roadway projects including coordination with roadway, structural, traffic, landscaping, and environmental with respective subconsultants or firm's staff. Operational activities will involve managing/mentoring staff and providing technical leadership on all transportation projects. This individual will be responsible for client development activities and project pursuits.

RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures.
  • Calculate and prepare engineering documents for respective engineering discipline, including details, schedules and cost estimates for projects, and performing life cycle cost analyses, performing storm sewer hydraulic calculations and developing hydraulic profiles, and coordinate with CADD technicians for construction plan production.
  • Select and apply engineering systems and materials in accordance with the latest governing codes applicable to the project type.
  • Manage client relationship and deliver projects on time and on budget, while meeting quality requirements.
  • Responsible for control of work-in-progress and ensures accurate client billings on his/her projects.
  • Prepare and review technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, P.E., registered in the State of Texas (or ability to obtain)
  • Must have experience and relationships working with transportation agencies and cities in the Central Texas market.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in roadway engineering and project management.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Water/Wastewater Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This individual will oversee the planning and design of water and wastewater treatment infrastructure projects for Government Entities. Responsibilities will include directing and/or designing projects, independently create layouts, detailed designs, plans, specifications and estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks and other water and wastewater storage and conveyance systems. Individual will calculate and prepare engineering documents for respective engineering discipline, including details, schedules and cost estimates for projects, performing life cycle cost analyses, performing hydraulic analysis calculations and developing hydraulic profiles, and coordinating with CADD technicians for construction plan production. Construction management experience is desired. This individual will also assist with marketing and client management, and act as a mentor for junior engineers.
